How to make Wheat flour dilkush / dilpasand video
Dry Ingredients
- Wheat flour- 1.5 cup
- Warm Milk - 1/2 cup
- Salt- 1/4 tsp
- Active dry Yeast - 1.5 tsp
- Sugar - 2 tbsp
- Oil - 3 tbsp
- Butter - 1 inch cube
- Warm Water - as needed or [Apr 200 ml]
Filling
- Jam - 3 tbsp
- Coconut - 1/4 cup [roasted without browning]
- Chironji, pista, cashews, almonds - 3 tbsp
- Tutti frutti - 3 tbsp
Preparation
- In a bowl add 1.5 tsp active dry yeast, sugar & warm water mix well.
- Then leave it for 5 min. [You can see frothy like consistency-This is perfect]
- Heat milk, add butter, melt then leave it for 5 min
- In another bowl add flour, salt mix well.
- Add activated yeast mixture & milk butter mixture mix well then knead it for 8 to 10 min to make soft dough [Add water if required]
- Then pour 1 tbsp oil over the both dough, cover with wet cotton cloth, let it rise for 2 hours.
- After 2 hours, you can see the dough is double in size then Sprinkle flour knead it for 5 min
- Pre-heat the pressure cooker forf 15 min on medium flame
- Divide the dough into equal size balls
- Sprinkle flour roll out into thick circles
- Spread jam, tutti frutti, chironji, almonds, pista, coconut
- Close with another circle. Seal the edges, make cross mark in the middle, grease with butter.
- Place it in pre-heated pressure cooker, cover lid then cook for 25 min on medium flame
- Once its ready, Slice then serve with tea / coffee.
Note
- Before baking in pressure cooker remove gasket & whistle.
How to make Wheat flour dilkush - Step by step photos
Add active dry yeast
Add sugar
Add warm water,mix well, let ti rise for 5 to 8 min
Yeast is ready
Heat milk, add butter melt
In a bowl add wheat flour, maida & activated yeast
Add milk butter mixture, knead it make soft dough
Add oil around the dough
Cover it , let it rise for 2 hours
After 2 hours
Punch the dough
Knead it
make balls, roll out into thick circles
Spread jam, any jam [you can use mango, mixed fruit or strawberry jam etc]
Make oval shape
Add chironji, tutti frutti [or you can use any dried fruits]
Add cashew, almonds, pista, coconut
Close with another circle
Seal the edges, design like flower, make cross in the middle [To avoid fluffy dough]
Grease with butter
Place it in pre-heated pressure cooker, cook for 25 min on medium flame
After 25 min, now its ready, remove it from cooker
Grease with butter
Slcie & serve
