Pazham Pori [Kerala banana fritters]-Step by step photos & Video

Ingredients
- Ripe plantains[Nendran banana]-2
- Maida (all purpose flour) or whea tflour-1/2 cup
- Rice flour-3 tbsp
- Sugar-2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder- a pinch
- Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
- Baking soda - 1/4 tsp or pinch
- Salt - a pinch
- Oil for deep fry
Preparation
- Cut the Nendran banana into thin slices
- In a bowl add Maida, Rice flour, Turmeric powder, baking powder, cardamom and sugar mix well
- Add water, make smooth batter
- Dip banana slice in to the batter (Make sure that the slice gets thick coating of mixture).
- Deep fry till it turns to light brown on medium flame(Not too brown).
- Serve hot with tea.

Crispy pazham pori
Take 1 nendran banana
Slice length wise
add 1/4 cup maida
add 1 tbsp rice flour
Add cardamom powder
add sugar
add turmeric powder
add salt
Add baking soda
Add water,
Mix well, make smooth batter
Batter ready
Dip banana in maida batter
Remove extra batter
Drop it in hot oil, deep fry till crisp
Now its ready
Remove it from oil
Drain on absorbent paper
