Sago rose payasam | Sabudana gulab ki kheer-How to make-step by step photos

Ingredients
- Sago [Sabudana, javvarisi] -1 cup
- Rose syrup –1/4 cup
- Milk – 2 cups[500 ml]
- Sugar – 5 tbsp
- Rose petals - 1/4 cup
- Cardamom powder – ½ tbsp
Preparation
- Wash & soak sago for 5 hours or overnight
- Heat ghee in a pan then roast cashew nuts, & raisins, keep it aside.
- Heat milk in a pan & let it boil, add sago, cook till soft.[Apr 15 min]
- Add rose syrup, & sugar mix well
- Add cardamom powder mix well then cut off heat.
- Drizzle rose syrup, rose petals & sliced almonds, pistachios, & serve hot or chilled.
Note
- You can add Jaggery instead of sugar
How to make Sago rose payasam-Step by step photos
Add sago in a bowl wash 2 to 3 tiems
Add water, soak it for 4 to 5 hours or overnight
Soaked sago ready
Heat 1.5 tbsp ghee, add cashews, raisins, chironji saute for a min
Add 1 tbsp ghee, add sago roast for a min
Add milk, boil for 5 min
Add sugar
Add cardamom powder
Boil till soft
Boil
3/4 th cooked
Add rose syrup
Boil for 2 min
Now its raedy, cut off heat
Add roasted nuts & raisins
Delicious sago payasam ready, serve hot or cold
Javvarisi rose payasam ready
