Papaya jaggery halwa | Pappali halwa-How to make-Step by step photos with Video

Ingredients
- Papaya[Pappali]-1
- Jaggery-3/4 cup
- Water-1/4 cup
- Corn flour-1 tbsp
- Milk powder-1 tbsp
- Cardamom powder-1/2 tbsp
- Pumpkin seeds-1 tbsp
- Cashew Nut-1 tbsp
- Pistachio-1 tbsp
- Ghee-1/4 cup + 3 tbsp
Preparation
- Wash & peel off the papaya skin. Then remove seeds, finely chop & mash.
- Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan, add pumpkin and cashews, roast till light brown then chop.
- In the same pan, add 3 tbsp ghee & mashed papaya saute for 3 minutes.
- Heat another pan, add jaggery & water, let it dissolvd first then boil for 3 min.
- Strain & pour jaggery syrup over the sauted papaya, stir well on medium flame.
- Add corn flour, milk powder mix well then add ghee stir continuously till it thickens
- Once the mixture ready, then add cardamom powder & roasted nuts.
- Garnish with dry fruits server cold / warm / hot
Note
- You can mix water with milk in equal proportion and prepare
Tip
- You can add khoya or palkhova.
- You can add condensed milk
- For Instant papaya halwa use condensed milk and khoya, Khoa.

Nattu papali
Wash papaya
Peel off the skin
Cut into half
Remove seeds
finely chop
Mash well
Now its ready, keep aside
Ghee roast pumpkin seeds and cashews
Add 3 tbsp ghee, add mashed papaya
Saute for 5 min
Heat another pan, add jaggery
Add water
Let it dissolve and boil for 3 min
Now its ready
Strain
Saute on medium flame
Add milk powder
Add corn flour
Add ghee
Add cardamom powder
Add roasted nuts, cut off heat
Delicious and healthy papaya halwa ready, serve hot or cold
