Ingredients
- Mochakottai [Field beans, avarekalu] - 1 cup [fresh]
- Green peas – ¼ cup [fresh]
- Coconut – ¼ cup
- Onion – 1 [sliced, For Navrathri-Dont add]
- Garlic - 2 cloves[mashed, For Navrathri-Dont add]]
- Green chilli – 1 [sliced]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Coriander leaves – 2 springs [chopped]
- Tumeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ¼ tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
Preparation
- Peel off the field beans & green peas skin. Then boil till soft.
- Heat oil in a pan then add mustard seeds.
- Once it’s spluttered add onion & garlic sauté till soft.
- Add green chilli and curry leaves.
- Add coconut, turmeric, & red chillli powder mix well.
- Add boiled field beans & green peas and salt mix well.
- Finally add coconut, coriander leaves mix well then cut off heat
- Then serve hot with rice
