Mixed vermicelli ragi semiya upma | Mixed sevai upma

Ingredients
- Ragi semiya – ½ cup
- White semiya – ½ cup
- Onion – 1 [sliced]
- Ginger – 1 tbsp [chopped]
- Green chilli – 1 [slit]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Coriander leaves – 2 springs [chopped]
- Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Bengal gram – 1 tbsp
- Urad dal – 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Water as needed
Method
- Heat oil in a pan then add mustard seeds & let it splutter. Add Bengal gram, urad dal and add chopped onion sauté well.
- Add ginger, green chilli, & curry leaves sauté gently.
- Add 1 ½ cup of water and salt mix well and bring it to boil.
- Then add semiya & mix well. Cover it and cook for a min. Sprinkle coriander leaves & lemon juice mix well. Cover with lid, Cut off heat & leave it for 4 min.
- Serve hot with coconut chutney.
Tip
- You can add roasted or fried nuts, vegetables, beans, green peas etc.
