Kesar phirni | Saffron rice pudding - How to make-step by step photos

Ingredients
- Basmati rice – 2 to 3 tbsp
- Saffron a pinch
- Milk – 2 cups
- Sugar – 5 tbsp
- Cardamom powder – ½ tbsp
Preparation
- Soak basmati for ½ an hours. Then drain water.
- In a mixer jar add soaked basmati rice then pour 3 tbsp of milk coarsely grind
- Heat milk in a pan & let it boil, add saffron, and then add ground rice mixture stir well.
- Add sugar, cardamom powder stir continuously till the mixture thickens. Then cut off heat.
- Sprinkle grated pistachios, serve hot or chilled.
Note
- For healthy version:- You can add Jaggery instead of sugar
How to make Kesar phirni -Step by step photos
Wash basmati rice
Soak basmati rice for 20 min
Add soaked basmati rice in a mixer jar, coarsely grind
Ground basmati rice is ready
Heat milk in a pan, let it boil
Add saffron
Add ground rice
Add sugar
Add cardamom powder
Let it cook till thickens
Kesar saffron rice phirni is ready, cut off heat
