Karamani Medhu Vadai | Cowpea medu vada-How to make-Stepwise pictures & video

Ingredients
- Karamani[Lobia, cowpea]– 1 cup
- Green chilli - 1 [finely chopped]
- Ginger – 1 tbsp [finely chopped]
- Garlic – 2
- Curry leaves – 2 springs [finely chopped]
- Coriander leaves - 2 springs
- Mint leaves - 2 springs
- Onion - 1
- Corn flour - 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
Preparation
- Wash & soak Karamani for 5 to 8hours. Then drain water
- In a mixie jar add karamani, onion, ginger, garlic, curry leaves, mint, coriander, & salt finely grind wihtout water
- Transfer ground mixture to a bowl, add corn flour or rice flour mix well.
- Then shape vadai & put hole in the middle then deep fry till crisp & golden brown.
- Serve hot with chutney, sambar, curd rice or pongal.
Note
- You can make thayir vadai, sambar vadai also.
- Dont add too much water while grinding.

Add ginger, garlic, onion, green chilli, coriander & salt coarsely grind
Add lobia, grind without water
Mixture is ready
Add corn flour, mix well
Shape vada, drop it in hot oil
Deep fry till crisp & golden brown
Now its ready, remove it from oil, drain on absorbent paper
