Ingredients

  • Jackfruit[palapazham, Kathal]- 1 cup or 6 to 7
  • Semolina [suji, Sooji , rava, ravai] - 1 cup
  • Ghee – ¼ cup
  • Sugar – 1/2 cup
  • Water - 2 cups
  • Cardamom powder- ½ tbsp
  • Cashew nuts - 5
  • Badam [Almonds] - 4

Preparation

  • Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pan, roast rava & keep it aside.
  • Remove seeds from jackfruit, chop then put it in a blender then make smooth paste.
  • Heat ghee in a pan roast cashew nuts & almonds, chop & keep it aside.
  • In a same pan, water & let it boil. Then add 1/2 cup of sugar mix well.
  • Now add roasted rava slowly and gently to the pan mix well & stir for a min.
  • Add jackfruit paste mix well.
  • Sprinkle ghee, cardamom powder, cashews & almonds mix well in medium flame.
  • Then cut off heat. Cover lid & leave it for 3 min. Then serve hot or chilled.
