Beetroot Tikki

Ingredients
- Beetroot grated - 1 cup
- Breadcrumbs - ½ cup
- Grated almond, cashew nut – 2 tbsp
- Onion [finely chopped] – ½
- Ginger and garlic [grated] – 1 tbsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves [chopped] – 2 tbsp
- Pudina [mint] chopped – 1 tbsp
- Parsley chopped – 1 tbsp
- Lemon juice – ½ tbsp
- Corn flour – 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 4 tbsp
- Sugar a pinch
Preparation
- Heat pan with oil add chopped onion & sauté well till golden brown, then add ginger and garlic & sauté.
- Add grated beetroot, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, corn flour and salt & mix well.
- Add breadcrumbs and garam masala & mix well turn off flame. Then add chopped parsley, coriander leaves, pudina, sugar and lemon juice mix well. Leave it to cool.
- Divide the dough in to equal portions of balls, and then make circle shape (tikki) from each ball then shallow fry all tikki. Serve hot with burger-bread / Tikki with mint chutney.
