Ingredients

  • Ragi Flour [Kezhvaragu maavu]- 1 cup
  • Water – 2 cups
  • Salt to taste
  • Sambar onion – 2 [peeled, chopped]
  • Green chilli – 1 [chopped]
  • Curry leaves – 1 spring
  • Uppu mangai – 2 slices[Raw mango, red chilli powder, salt]

Preparation

  • Heat water in a pan & let it boil then add salt.
  • When boiling add ragi flour slowly & stir continuously for about 10 min. Then cut off heat
  • Make ball shape out off the mixture & then immerse the balls in water about 2 to 4 hours
  • In a bowl add ragi balls, curd or buttermilk, salt & enough water mix well.[Consistency should be semi solid or medium liquid]
  • Then add onion, curry leaves & green chilli mix well & serve immediately with uppu mangai
