How to make Crispy leftover idli pakoda video
Ingredients
- Leftover idli– 2 to 3
- Gram flour – 1/4 cup
- Rice flour – 1/4 cup
- Red chilli powder - ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Asafoetida – ¼ tsp
- Curry leaves –1 spring [chopped]
- Coriander leaves– 2 spings [chopped]
- Fennel seeds– 1/2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
- Water as needed [3 to 4 tbsp]
Preparation
- Cut idli into cubes.
- In a bowl add idli cubes, gram flour, rice flour, salt, fennel seeds, coriander leaves, curry leaves, asafoetida, red chilli & turmeric powder mix well
- Sprinkle 3 tbsp water, mix well.
- Heat oil in a pan, sprinkle idli cubes, deep fry till crisp & golden brown on medium hot oil.
- Once its ready remove from oil & drain on absorbent paper.
- Serve hot with tea or coffee

Cut idli into small cubes
Add salt
Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder
Add fennel, coriander & curry leaves
Add hing
Mix well
Add rice flour, gram flour
Sprinkle 3 tbsp water, mix well
Heat oil in a pan, drop idli cubes
Deep fry till crips and godlen brown
Crispy idli pakoda ready, remove it from oil
Drain on absorbent paper
Leftover idli pakora ready, serve hot with tea or coffee
