Fresh mint leaves chutney

Ingredients

  • Mint leaves [Pudina, Mentha] – 1 ½ cup
  • Green chilli – 1 or 2
  • Coconut – 3 tbsp
  • Ginger – 1 tbsp [finely chopped]
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar a pinch
  • Water as needed

For seasoning [optional]

  • Mustard seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Bengal gram - ½ tbsp
  • Urad dal - ½ tbsp
  • Curry leaves - 1 spring
  • Oil - 1 tbsp

Method

  • In a mixer jar add mint leaves, green chilli, coconut, ginger, salt & sugar then coarsely grind.
  • Add enough water then again grind to fine or coarse paste.
  • Serve with idli, dosa, adai or paper dosa
  • For seasoning:- Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, Bengal gram & curry leaves.
  • Add seasoned ingredients over the chutney & Serve with idli, dosa..
