White pattani sundal | White peas-How to make-Step by step photos

Ingredients
- White Pattani [Dry white peas]–1 cup
- Garlic – 1 cloves[mashed]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Green chilli – 1 [chopped]
- Coconut - 3 tbsp [grated]
- Coriander leaves – 2 springs [chopped]
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Mustard seeds – ½ tbsp
- Asafetida a pinch
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Water as needed
Preparation
- Wash & soak dried white peas overnight or 8 hours
- Heat wate, add soaked white peas, turmeric, red chilli powder, & salt cook till soft
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, let it crackle.
- Add garlic, green chilli, sauté.
- Add curry leaves, & coconut saute .
- Add turmeric & red chilli powder, sauté.
- Add boiled white peas & salt mix well
- Add coriander leaves sauté gently, cut off heat & serve hot with rice
