Main Ingredients

  • Potato - 2
  • Sago[Javvarisi, sabudana]- 1 cup
  • Ginger, garlic -1 tbsp [grated]
  • Green chilli-1 tbsp [finely chopped]
  • Garam masala powder - 1 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Rice flour - 2 tbsp
  • Breadcrumbs - 2 tbsp
  • Peanut[Groundnut] - 2 tbsp [roasted]
  • Lemon juice - 2 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves -2 tbsp[fienly chopped]
  • Oil for deep frying

Preparation

  • Boil potato till soft then mash well.
  • Wash and soka sago for 2 hours then drain water.
  • Dry roast peanuts, peel the skin off then coarsely grind.
  • In a bowl add sago, mashed potato, ginger, garlic, green chilli, red chilli powder, rice flour, salt , breadcrumbs, coriander leaves, ground peanut, lemon juice & salt mix well, make soft dough.
  • Make lemon size ball out of the mixture.
  • Heat oil in a pan, Drop the balls, deep fry till crisp and golden brown.
  • Once its ready, remove it from oil, drain on absorbent paper.
  • Serve hot with tomato sauce, chilli sauce or green chutney
