Ragi moong dal mani kozhukattai-How to make-stepwise pictures & Video

Ingredients
- Ragi flour (kezhvaragu maavu, finger millet powder)-1 cup
- Moong dal – ¼ cup or 4 tbsp
- Grated Coconut- ½ cup
- Onion – 1 [finely chopped]
- Ginger – 1 tbsp [finely chopped]
- Green chilli – 1 [finely chopped]
- Coriander leaves – 1 spring [chopped]
- Curry leaves – 2 springs [chopped]
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Urad dal – 1 tbsp
- Bengal gram – 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Water as needed
Preparation
- In a bowl add ragi flour, salt, coconut mix well.
- Seasoning: heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds & let it splutter. Then add Bengal gram, urad dal, onion sauté till soft.
- Add ginger, green chilli, moong dal & curry leaves sauté. Then cut off heat.
- Add seasoned ingredients, & coriander leaves in ragi flour mixture, sprinkle warm water, mix well & make soft dough.
- Make a lemon size balls from prepared ragi dough.
- Then steam it for 10 minutes in a steamer (idli cooker or idli koppar) & serve hot with tomato tamarind chutney.
How to make Ragi moong dal mani kozhukattai-Stepwise pictures
In a bowl add, ragi flour, coconut, salt mix well
Boil moong dal with turmeric powder
Heat oil, add mustard, chan dal, urad dal, onion, ginger, green chilli, curry leaves
Add moong dal
Add coriander leaves
Add salt
Add seasoned ingredients
Sprinkle warm water, make soft dough then make mini balls
Steam ragi balls for 10 min
Soft spongy ragi mani kolukattai ready
Ragi pasiparuppu ammini kolukattai
