Ingredients
- Kovakkai[Tindora, Dondakaya] - ¼ kg
- Onion – 1 chopped
- Garlic – 1 clove
- Green chilli – 1 chopped
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Coconut – 3 tbsp [Grated]
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Red chili powder – ½ tsp
- Garam masala powder – ½ tsp
- Salt to taste
- Ground nut oil – 2 tbsp
- Water as needed
Preparation
- Heat pan add oil, add mustard seeds & let it splutter then add Bengal gram, & urad dal sauté.
- Add onion & garlic sauté till soft.
- Add green chilli, curry leaves sauté.
- Add kovakkai, turmeric powder, red chilli powder sauté well.
- Then add enough water cook for 4 min.
- Add coconut & garam masala sauté well.
- Then cut off heat & serve hot with rice.

Wash & slice kovakkai/Tindora
Thinly slice
Heat 2 tbsp oil in pan
Add mustard seeds
Add chana dal
Add urad dal & onion
Add garlic
Add curry leaves, green chilli
Add coconut
Add kovakkai / tindora
add red chilli powder
Add turmeric powder
add water, cook till soft
Cover lid, cook
Add salt mix well
Add pav bhaji masala
