Cabbage poriyal | Muttaikose poriyal

Ingredients
- Cabbage – 1 cup [shred or grate]
- Onion – 1[chopped]
- Green chilli – 1[sliced]
- Grated coconut – ¼ cup
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Cumin seeds – ½ tbsp
- Bengal gram – ½ tbsp
- Urad dal – ½ tbsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Coriander powder – ½ tbsp
- Cumin powder – ½ tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Water as needed
Preparation
- Heat pan with oil, add mustard seed, cumin seed, bengal gram and urad dal. Then add onion sauté till soft. Add green chilli and curry leaves.
- Add grated cabbage, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt sauté well. Then add water, cover lid and cook for 5 min.
- Once cabbage turned soft add coriander powder, cumin powder and coconut mix well. Leave it for another 3 min. Then cut off heat serve hot with rice
