Capsicum spring onion pakoda

Ingredients

  • Capsicum – ½ cup [finely chopped]
  • Spring onion – 1 cup [finely chopped]
  • Gram flour [Besan flour, kadalai maavu]- 4 tbsp
  • Rice flour - 2 tbsp
  • Maida – 2 tbsp
  • Garlic – 1 [chopped]
  • Red chilli powder - ½ tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves – 1 spring [chopped]
  • Mint leaves – 1 spring [chopped]
  • Asafetida – ½ tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Water as needed

Method

  • In a bowl, add all ingredients & mix well.
  • Sprinkle 3 tbsp of water and mix well. (Not like bajji consistency). Then make uneven shape balls.
  • Heat oil in a pan then deep fry on medium flame till golden brown.
  • Serve hot with curd rice, evening snack, tea or coffee.
