Tri colour poriyal independence day special recipe

Ingredients

  • Red or Orange capsicum – ½ cup [chopped]
  • Paneer – ½ cup [finely chopped cubes]
  • Green peas – ½ cup [fresh]
  • Coconut – ¼ cup [grated]
  • Garlic – 1 [finly chopped]
  • Onion – 2 tbsp [chopped]
  • Green chilli – 1 [chopped]
  • Curry leaves – 1 spring
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds – ½ tbsp
  • Urad dal – ½ tsp
  • Bengal gram – ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil – 1 ½ tbsp

Preparation

  • Boil green peas separately
  • Heat pan with oil add mustard seeds let it crackle, then add bengal gram and urad dal saute.
  • Add onion sauté well.
  • Add garlic & curry leaves sauté.
  • Add coconut, green chilli and capsicum sauté.
  • Add paneer, red chilli powder &salt sauté.
  • Add boiled green peas sauté.
  • Finally add 2 tbsp grated coconut, cut off heat and serve hot with rice.
