Ingredients

  • Thinai [foxtail millet] idli – 3
  • Carrot – 1 tbsp [grated or finely chopped]
  • Tomato – 1 [finely chopped]
  • Onion – 1 tbsp [sliced]
  • Ginger – ½ tbsp [finely chopped]
  • Green chilli – 1 tbsp [finely chopped]
  • Curry leaves – 1 spring
  • Coriander leaves – 1 spring [chopped]
  • Mustard seeds – ½ tbsp
  • Bengal gram – ½ tbsp
  • Urad dal – ½ tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Water- 2 tbsp
  • Oil – 2 tbsp

Method

  • Take a bowl add idli, sprinkle 2 tbsp of water crumble & keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds & let its splutter. Then add Bengal gram, urad dal & onion saute till soft.
  • Add ginger, green chilli, carrot & curry leaves sauté. Then add tomato sauté till soft.
  • Add crumbled idli, salt mix well. Then sprinkle coriander leaves, cut off heat & serve hot with chutney.
