Ingredients

  • Sprouted Green gram[pachai payaru, matki dal]– 1 cup
  • Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Bengal gram – 1 tbsp
  • Urad dal – 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tbsp
  • Red chilli powder – ½ tbsp
  • Coconut – ¼ cup [grated]
  • Curry leaves – 1 spring
  • Coriander leaves – 3 tbsp [chopped]
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil – 2 tbsp

For roasting & grinding

  • Green chilli – ½ [chopped]
  • Coriander leaves – 3 tbsp [chopped]
  • Garlic - 3 cloves
  • Ginger - 1 tbsp
  • Fennel seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds – ½ tbsp
  • Cinnamon stick – ½
  • Coconut - 1 tbsp
  • Cloves - 2
  • Dry red chilli - 1
  • Put all these ingredients in a mixer jar & coarsely grind with out water

Preparation

  • Steam sprouted green gram for 3 min .
  • Heat pan with oil add mustard seeds, Bengal gram and urad dal.
  • Add curry leaves, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, & ground mixture saute.
  • Add steamed green gram sprouts& salt mix well.
  • Add grated coconut mix well & cut off heat then serve hot with rice.
