Ingredients

  • Wheat flour– 1 cup
  • Ghee or butter– 1 ½ tbsp
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • White sesame seeds – 1 tbsp[dry rosted]
  • Water as needed
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying

Preparation Method

  • In a bowl add wheat flour, salt, ghee, turmeric & red chilli powder mix well.
  • Add water knead it make soft dough, Add white sesame seeds mix well.
  • Then cover it & leave it for 15 to 20 min.
  • Sprinkle flour & roll out into thick chapatti.
  • Cut into small square or diamond shapes & leave it for 5 min.
  • Heat oil in a pan then put raw shakarpara deep fry till golden brown & crisp on low to medium hot oil [Apr x 3 to 4 min].
  • When it is ready remove it from oil & drain on an absorbent paper & let it cool.
  • Store it in an airtight container and use within 5 days.
