Pazham (plantain) Pori

Ingredients
- Ripe plantains-2
- Bengal gram flour-1/4 cup
- Maida (all purpose flour)-1/2 cup
- Rice flour-1/2 cup
- Sugar-3 tbs
- Turmeric powder- a pinch
- Salt - a pinch
- Oil for deep fry
Preparation
- Cut the plantain (Length wise) into thin pieces (Not too thin) and keep aside.
- Take Bengal gram flour, Maida, Rice flour, Turmeric powder and sugar in a bowl mix water till the mixture turns to semi fluid state.
- In a pan take oil for deep fry.
- Dip plantain slice in the mixture (Make sure that the slice gets thick coating of mixture).
- Deep fry till it turns to golden brown (Not too brown).
- Serve hot with tea.
Note
- This can be prepared without Bengal gram flour. (This is called traditional Pazham pori)
Tip
- Pepper powder can be sprinkled after fry
