Ingredients

  • Sago [Sabudana, javvarisi]– 1 cup
  • Curd [Yogurt] – 1 cup
  • Coriander leaves – 2 springs [chopped]
  • Pomegranate seeds – ¼ cup
  • Salt to taste

Seasoning ingredients

  • Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Green chilli – 1 [finely chopped]
  • Ginger – 1 tbsp [finely chopped]
  • Curry leaves – 1 spring
  • Asafoetida a pinch
  • Oil – 1 tbsp

Preparation

  • Wash & soak sago for 2 hours then drain water.
  • Steam it for 5 min the let it cool.
  • In a bowl add steamed sago, curd & salt mix well.
  • For seasoning: Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds & let it splutter. Add green chilli, ginger, curry leaves, & asafoetida. Then cut off heat.
  • Add seasoned ingredients into sago mixture mix well.
  • Then add chopped coriander leaves & pomegranate seeds mix well then serve.
