Ingredients

  • Red Poha [Red rice aval or Red flattened rice] – 1 cup
  • Peanuts – ¼ cup [roasted, peeled]
  • Onion – 1 [sliced]
  • Green chilli – 1 [sliced or chopped]
  • Curry leaves – 1 spring
  • Ginger – 1 ½ tbsp [finely chopped]
  • Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp [roughly chopped]
  • Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Bengal gram – 1 tbsp
  • Urad dal – ½ tbsp
  • Lemon juice – 1 ½ tbsp
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Preparation

  • Wash & Soak red poha for 15 min and drain water.
  • Heat pan with oil add mustard seed, Bengal gram, urad dal and peanuts.
  • Then add onion sauté well
  • Add ginger, green chilli & curry leaves.
  • Add red poha and salt then mix well. Add lemon juice mix well.
  • Add chopped coriander leaves over it and mix well. Cut off heat and serve hot with pickle, coconut chutney.
