Purple cabbage chutney

Ingredients

  • Purple cabbage – ½ cup [grated]
  • Samabr Onion – 6 [sliced]
  • Dry red chilli - 3
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Urad dal – ½ tbsp
  • Bengal gram – 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds – ½ tbsp
  • Coriander seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil – 2 tbsp

For seasoning

  • Mustard seeeds - 1 tbsp
  • Urad dal - 1 tbsp
  • Curry leaves - 1 spring
  • Oil - 1 tbsp

Method

  • Heat pan with oil then roast all ingredients.
  • Cool it and put roasted ingredients, and salt in a mixer jar.
  • Grind to fine or coarse powder or paste.
  • Heat oil in a pan add mustard let it crackle, then add urad dal, curry leaves fry then cut of heat
  • Add seasoned ingredients into purple cabbage chutney then sprinkle gingelly oil & serve hot with rice.
