Ingredients

  • Poato[Aloo, Urulaikizhangu] –3 [cut into cubes]
  • Dry red chilli – 3
  • Garlic – 5 cloves
  • Coconut – 3 tbsp
  • Curry leaves – 1 spring
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Asafoetida[hing] – 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Water as needed

Preparation

  • Soak dry red chilli in warm water for 10 min.
  • Peel off the potato skin then wash & cut into cubes
  • Boil water in a broad pan add cubed potato, turmeric, red chilli powder cook till soft
  • Heat oil in a pan add garlic, coconut & soaked dry red chilli roast then coarsly grind.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, curry leaves & asafoetida.
  • Add ground dry red chilli mixture & salt saute.
  • Add boiled potatoes, salt saute till crisp.
  • Cut off heat serve hot with chapatti, or rice
