Ingredients

  • Pachai thuvarai[Fresh pigeon peas, Green tuvar dal]–1 cup
  • Garlic – 1 cloves[mashed]
  • Curry leaves – 1 spring
  • Green chilli – 1 [chopped]
  • Coconut - 3 tbsp [grated]
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Mustard seeds – ½ tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Water as needed

Preparation

  • Boil green toor dal with turmeric powder till soft
  • Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, let it crackle.
  • Add garlic, green chilli sauté till light brown.
  • Add curry leaves, & coconut saute .
  • Add boiled green peas & salt mix well
  • Then cut off heat & serve hot with rice
