  • Oyster mushroom [Kalan]– 1 cup [5]
  • Gram flour [besan flour, kadalai maavu] – 4 tbsp
  • Rice flour – 2 tbsp or corn flour
  • Corn flour – 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic & green chilli paste – 1 tbsp
  • Curd – 2 tbsp [fully whisked]
  • Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
  • Turmeric power – ¼ tsp
  • Garam masala powder – ¼ tsp
  • Pepper powder - ¼ tsp
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed

Preparation Method

  • Wash & cut Oyster mushroom in to stripes or two.
  • Add gram flour, rice flour, corn flour, Curd, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, ginger garlic & green chilli paste, garam masala, pepper powder & water mix well without lumps. [cream or bajji consistency]
  • Add Oyster mushroom into the batter mix well.
  • Heat oil in a pan then deep fry Oyster mushroom till crisp on medium hot oil.
  • Then drain on absorbent paper & serve hot with green mint chutney.
