Ingredients

  • Sambar onion [shallots] – 6
  • Coconut – ¼ cup [grated]
  • Toor dal – 1 tbsp
  • Bengal gram – 1 tbsp
  • Urad dal – 1 tbsp
  • Dry red chilli -2
  • Coriander seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil – 2 tbsp

Preparation Method

  • Heat pan with oil roast Bengal gram, urad dal. Next roast toor dal.
  • Then roast coriander seeds and cumin seeds.
  • Next roast dry red chilli, and then roast coconut and onion.
  • Coarsely grind [don’t add water]. Sprinkle gingelly oil then serve with rice.
