Ingredients

  • Oats – ½ cup
  • Water – ¼ cup
  • Milk – ½ cup [ or ¼ cup]
  • Green cardamom power – 1 tbsp [optional]
  • Brown sugar, white sugar or grated jaggey – 3 tbsp
  • Almonds – 2 [sliced]
  • Raisins – 5
  • Dates – 4 [Remove seeds &chopped]
  • Banana – 1 [sliced]

Preparation

  • Heat water & milk in a pan let it boil
  • Add oats stir gently
  • Add brown sugar let it dissolve.
  • Add cardamom powder
  • Add raisins, almonds & dates
  • Add banana cut off heat serve immediately.

Tip

  • For another variation of oats payasam use coconut milk, jaggery, pistachios, cashew nuts, nutmeg powder & saffron
