Moong Dal Payasam

Ingredients

  • Roasted Vermicelli - 2 tbsp
  • Moong dal  - ½ cup
  • Milk - 3 cup
  • Sugar - ½ cup
  • Condensed milk - 3 tbsp [optional]
  • Green cardamom powder - ½ tbsp
  • Cashew nuts - 6
  • Raisins - 10
  • Almonds [sliced] - 5
  • Ghee - 3 tbsp
  • Water as needed

Preparation

  • Dry roast moong dal.
  • Heat pan with ghee then roast cashew nuts, raisins and almonds keep it aside.
  • In the same pan add milk, water, roasted moong dal & cook till soft.
  • Add roasted vermicelli & sugar mix well.
  • Once it’s cooked add ghee roasted cashew nut, raisins and almonds slices and cardamom powder mix well and finally add condensed milk and mix well and serve hot or cold.

Tip

  • For Instant Pasi Paruppu Payasam use condensed milk.
