Ingredients

  • Moong dal[Pasi paruppu] – 1 cup
  • Onion - 3 tbsp [finely chopped]
  • Green chilli - 1 [finely chopped]
  • Ginger – 1 tbsp [finely chopped]
  • Curry leaves – 3 springs [finely chopped]
  • Coriander leaves – 2 springs
  • Mint leaves – 2 springs
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying

Preparation

  • Wash & Soak moong dal for 2 to 3 hours. Then drain water.
  • In a mixie jar add moong dal, salt, green chilli finely grind 2 tbsp water.
  • Transfer moong dal batter to a bowl, add ginger, coriander, curry leaves, mint leaves, coriander leaves, & salt mix well.
  • Heat oil in pan, Take lemon size batter, make ball shape or oval shape using spoon then deep fry till golden brown & crisp in medium hot oil.
  • Serve hot with chutney, sambar, or tomato sauce.
