Ingredients

  • Rice – 1 cup [boiled]
  • Groundnut [Verkadalai, moongphali] – 3 tbsp
  • Garlic– 3
  • Coconut – 2 tbsp [grated]
  • Dry red chilli – 2 or 3
  • Tamarind – 1 inch piece
  • Urad dal– 1 tbsp
  • Bengal gram –1 1/2 tbsp
  • Curry leaves – 1 spring
  • Asafoetida[Hing, perungayam] – 1/2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds– 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Gingelly oil – 1 tbsp
  • Oil – 1 tbsp

Preparation Method

  • Dry roast groundnut, let it cool, peel off the skin, keep it aside.
  • Boil rice, spread it over the plate, let it cool.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add bengal gram, urad dal, dry red chilli, garlic, & coconut roast till light brown.
  • Then let it cool.
  • Put roasted ingredients in a mixer jar, add tamarind & groundnut coarsely grind.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, curry leaves, hing freshly ground groundnut mixture saute for a min.
  • Then add boiled rice & salt mix well.
  • Pour 1 tbsp of ginelly oil mix well then cut off heat. Serve hot.
