Cauliflower spring onion sabzi

Ingredients

  • Cauliflower – 1 cup
  • Spring onion – 1 cup [chopped]
  • Onion – 1 [finely chopped]
  • Garlic – 1 tbsp [finely chopped]
  • Green chilli – 1 [finely chopped]
  • Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
  • Tomato sauce – 3 tbsp
  • Pepper powder – ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil – 2 tbsp

For batter

  • Maida – 1 tbsp
  • Rice flour – 1 tbsp
  • Gram flour [besan] – 1 tbsp
  • Rava – ½ tbsp
  • Pepper powder – ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed

Method

  • Break the whole cauliflower into medium florets.
  • Take a bowl, pour warm water & add salt mix well then put cauliflower & leave it for 5 min then drain water.
  • In a bowl add maida, besan, rice flour, rava, salt & pepper mix well. Then add water stir well. Batter should be light & mild watery.
  • Dip cauliflower florets in maida batter mixture then deep fry till golden brown & keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan then add onion sauté till soft. Then add garlic & green chilli sauté. Add spring onion sauté.
  • Add tomato sauce, red chilli powder & pepper powder mix well. Add 2 tbsp of water sauté till raw smell out.
  • Then add fried cauliflower mix well & leave it for a min.
  • Then cut off heat & Serve hot with boiled rice, chapatti, biryani or pulao.
