Beetroot Chapati

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour [Atta] – 1 cup
  • Beetroot – 1 [finely grated]
  • Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Butter – 1 tbsp
  • Water as needed.

Method

  • Heat oil in a pan add grated beetroot, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder sauté.
  • Then add water [small amount] then cook till soft [apr. 3 min]. Then let it cool.
  • Add wheat flour, salt, oil, cooked beetroot, water then knead it & make soft dough. Then leave it for 15 min.
  • Then make chapatti as usual. Serve hot with any gravy
