Ingredients

Outer layer

  • All purpose flour / Maida / Wheat flour – 1 cup
  • Ghee [clarified butter] - 2 tbsp
  • Rava – 2 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Water as need
  • Oil for deep frying

Stuffing / Filling

  • Potato - 3 [boiled]
  • Green peas- 1/4 cup
  • Green chilli- 1 tbsp
  • Ginger - 1 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala - 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves- 2 tbsp [finely chopped]

Preparation

  • Sieve Maida/ All purpose flour without lumps.
  • In a bowl add Maida, ghee, oil, red chilli powder and salt mix well.
  • Then add water slowly to make the semi soft dough.
  • Cover the bowl with cotton cloth then leave it for 10 min.
  • Mash potato and green peas
  • In a bowl add mashed potato, green peas, salt, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, ginger, green chilli, coriander leaves, mix well
  • After 10 min, knead the dough, make small lemon size balls.
  • Sprinkle flour, place the balls on chapathi stone then roll out into large thin chapatti.
  • Place potato green peas mixture, evenly spread
  • Then fold the chapatti tightly then cut into circles
  • Heat oil in a pan, drop raw bakarwadi, deep fry till crisp nd golden brown
  • Once its ready take it out from oil. Drain on an absorbent paper.
  • Let it cool & store it in an airtight container & serve with tea or coffee
