Ingredients

  • Aval [Poha, Flattened rice] – 1 cup
  • Brown sugar – ½ cup
  • Ghee – ¼ cup
  • Green Cardamom-2
  • Cashewnuts – 5
  • Almonds – 5
  • Pistachios – 5
  • Raisins – 6

Preparation

  • Dry roast poha till you get nice aroma [Apr. 4 to 5 min], let it cool then finely grind.
  • Break the cardamom shell; add the seeds & brown sugar in a mixer jar & finely grind.
  • Heat ghee in a pan roast cashew nuts, almonds, pistachios, & raisins then finely chop
  • Heat ghee in a pan then melt it.
  • In a bowl add ground poha mixture, brown sugar cardamom mixture, chopped nuts, raisins & ghee mix well.
  • Divide the mixture into equal size ladoos.
  • Store it in an airtight container use within 5 days

Tip

  • You can use jaggery, white sugar or coconut for another variation
